Speaking on the Global Stage: Education, Power, and the Future of the Americas

The United States is entering a pivotal moment in its approach to education—one with consequences that extend far beyond its borders.

In this video, I reflect on being invited to speak on a global stage about the future of education, leadership, and power in the Americas. This is not a discussion about schools alone, but about who shapes systems, who defines legitimacy, and how societies prepare the next generation of leaders.

Drawing on decades of work at the intersection of education, diplomacy, and institutional design, I explore what is unfolding in the U.S., why it matters to Latin America, and what forms of leadership this moment now demands.

This reflection is interwoven with scenes from Mexico City—offering space to think through where we are, and where we may be headed.
